LOCATION: Milan, Italy: TOUR DAY: Pre-tour 1 & 2

Greeting from Milan!

Things are a bit crazy here. First I must mention that my computer has decided it does not like Italy and will not boot so I am currently writing this at the hotel (in Castlerotto) with a keyboard not mapped to English so I am have a lovely time trying to remember that the “Z” is y and the “Y” is z and the punctuation is moved all around so I will keep this brief. Milan was crazy! They are gearing up for the EXPO and it was design week so the city was packed. I went on a apertivo crawl and ended up with a private tour. My guide was great and I had a great time. I did not manage to get to all the things I wanted to see mostly because I was experiencing major jet lag, I did manage to get to the most important thing… The Last Supper. It was all I thought it would be and more it is a real shame that it will not last forever, if you are ever in Milan check it out remember to get reservations well in advanced. I also ended up at a special exhibit for Leonardo di Vinci that had just opened. It was not the one I had planned on going to but it was great.

Final Thoughts

The only other thing I can say about Milan is it was more gritty than I thought it would be. There was graffiti everywhere one looked. While I di not feel unsafe I do not think I will ever go back.

One Last Thing

As my computer is not working I will be unable to post any pictures or video as planned but I will try to post when ever I can find a computer at the hotel and have a few minutes.
